In New York
So, yes, I haven’t updated much to this website lately. I’ve been moving to New York (Albany/Greater Capitol Region area - not the city) so it’s taken some time to get settled. I don’t have much to update - just that we still haven’t sold our house in IL and are stressing big-time! and I’ve finished unpacking what I want to unpack for our stay in this rental home for a year. We said we weren’t going to unpack much since we were going to have repack it all when we buy a home next year, but looking at the boxes, I think we unpacked way too much. We just have too much stuff!!!! Do you know how that is?
Anyway…our accountant told me to take the year off - don’t get a job - don’t make money - since we’re renting this year and don’t have a house to offset us for tax purposes (actually we still have the IL house, but hopefully not for long) so I think I’ll take him up on that and take off the year. My husband will say “What’s different this year that you’ve NOT been doing last year or the year before that???” True…but I know how I am. I need a project to focus on - to do something as I can not keep still for very long. Perhaps volunteering will be good - maybe even doing some Princess Penelope storytimes during this summer…I don’t know, but I HAVE to do something!!! Actually, my husband said I need to get back into my photography. I plan on “touring” around the area and taking more pictures so I can show them next year. That’s a good idea, right???? Oh - and there are my children’s books. I’m working on two and am doing mega-research regarding submitting one that’s just about done. I’m weighing my options to submitting versus publishing/marketing it myself. I don’t know…But my goal will be submitting by the end of the year.
So…I do have projects to work on this year, so I can start showing/selling them next year. That works…
Anyway…I just wanted to tell everyone that I’m still here, I’ll do better updating and keeping everyone informed. Thanks for your kind words of encouragement and inspiration as I’m so thankful to have such good friends.
