Frisco Enterprise Star Article - Frisco Association for the Arts

The following is the article from the September 22nd, 2006 newspaper, regarding the Frisco Association for the Arts “Once Upon A Time” Gala, where they raised funds for the arts of Frisco.

I did this character as a favor for Glendy Valdez, the Visual Arts Guild of Frisco founder, a very dear friend and one I have the deepest respect for. I thank the journalist who kept the magic within the article. They respected the fact that this WDW look-a-like character performer needed to have some anonymity.  I’m also including the page from the Frisco Style Magazine which included a picture of Eve L. Queen instead of one of the many VIP’s that attended the gala.

I purchased this costume long before I ever worked at Walt Disney World. In fact, I used it to take photos of me when auditioning for character performers, back in 2001. When the casting director saw the photos, she questioned me on the validity of my purchase (thinking I had “borrowed” a real costume). Another casting director stepped in and explained that they sold that costume at the MGM Studios, and continue to do so.  Needless to say, I did not get approved for this character right away, not until 2003.
