I am so excited to be a part of a Germany/American project regarding the song “Tell Me Why It Rains”. Michael Corda (PopProducer/Germany) wrote and produced this song and asked that I sing it. I was thrilled and absolutely love what he and his team have done for the final product. Take a listen:

And I hope to work with them again in the near future.
So, it’s official. It’s out: “Unified By Grace”, produced by Quickstar Productions, with my song (track #13) “I’m Home” on iTunes. It’s a great album with original work from Christian songwriters that are just waiting to be discovered.
This album benefits the Nyambabare Clinic in Uganda, which provides basic health care to an impoverished community of 2,000 people. It makes me so happy to be a part of such a great mission. To know that my song will help this clinic provide the health care needs of these people - is just an amazing thing.
I was inspired to write “I’m Home” when a friend told me he was going to be stationed in Afghanistan for a year, and that he most-likely would not be seeing his family until after his tour was completed. So, I thank you, Marte, for giving me the inspiration to write this song, and for it to be chosen to be a part of this greater mission.

Please support the cause!
I will also be involved with another Quickstar Productions CD coming soon, so keep posted.

Inspired by the series (and now movie) Twilight, by Stephenie Meyer, I wrote a song dedicated to one of the lead characters, Edward Cullen. If you don’t know about the book (where have you been?) look into it. I recommend them highly. (My friend badgered me into reading the series - at first I was not interested - but instantly fell in love with them, so I say the same to you: “JUST DO IT!”)
In my lame attempt to be creative, I produced a video to go along with the song. It’s really just “eye candy” while you’re listening to the song, so I’d rather hear more about the song, rather than just how lame the video is. I know, it’s lame…

I was hand selected by Quickstar Productions (http://www.quickstarproductions.com) to be a part of their benefit CD “Unified by Grace” to be released in 2009. The funds raised will be used to help supply the Nyambrabare Clinic, in Uganda, with the cesessary medications for the community they service.

I just moved back to Texas and between visiting my Dad (for health reasons) and getting settled, I decided that while I was back in the Frisco area, I wanted to continue doing the things I had done over a year ago. That was to work with The Visual Arts Guild, Word of Mouth Productions and find a place to sell my jewelry designs.
I got in touch with the President of the VAGF and they were needing donations of artwork for the Frisco Association of the Arts Gala in October. All of my large paintings and photography prints are packed and I have no idea where they are, so I decided to paint something for them instead. Here’s a pic of my “commissioned” painting slated for the gala silent auction, valued at $1,000.

I plan to donate some of my photography as well - I just have to find some pieces that are unpacked - or at least easy to get to. The gala is October 25th and I certainly hope that my art brings them plenty of money for the cause.
